Website visitors: see which of your leads come back to your site

Add one script to your website and TechSales shows which of your leads visit it, which pages they read and for how long. It names only people you are already talking to; everyone else stays anonymous.

    In short

    • One script in your site's head, set up under Settings, Integrations, with step-by-step instructions for WordPress, Webflow, Wix, Shopify, Google Tag Manager and a hand-built site.
    • A visitor gets a name in two ways: they clicked a link to your site in a reply you sent from TechSales, or they typed their email into a form on your site.
    • Each day a lead visits is a line on their timeline and a Visited your website signal. A pricing, demo or contact page, more than one page or a minute on the site reads as a stronger visit.
    • There is no reverse-IP lookup. Anonymous visitors only count toward the page totals.
    • Included in every plan.

Instead of: guessing whether a lead looked at your pricing after the call, or a reverse-IP tool that names companies rather than people.

How a visitor gets a name

    • A link to your own site inside a reply you send from the TechSales Inbox is tagged with the lead it was sent to. When they click it, the visit is theirs.
    • An email address typed into any form on your site (a demo request, a newsletter sign-up) is matched to the lead with that address.
    • Once a browser is known, later visits from it count for the same lead. In cookieless mode nothing is kept past the browser tab, so a visitor is only known for that visit.

Links in campaign emails sent by Instantly, Smartlead or HeyReach are not tagged. The name comes from replies sent through TechSales and from forms.

    What you see

    • On the lead: one timeline line per day with the pages they saw and the time spent.
    • In Signals: a Visited your website signal, next to replies, company news and job changes.
    • On a contact's page and a company's overview: Documents and website, with every visit and every document they opened.
    • On the Website visitors card: visitors over the last 7 days, how many were known leads, and the top pages.

    Setting it up

    1. Open Settings, Integrations, Website visitors, and enter your live domain.
    2. Paste the script into your site's head, or send the ready instructions to whoever runs the site. Wix needs a premium plan to add it.
    3. Choose whether to run in cookieless mode.
    4. Check the card: it warns when the address it listens to is a preview site rather than your live domain.
