TechSales and Apollo
Apollo is where many teams find people. TechSales can search it, reveal only the contacts you approve and send them straight into list preparation, on your own Apollo key or on TechSales credits.
In short
- Connecting your Apollo API key is optional; with it, searches and reveals run on your Apollo account and credits.
- Without a key, people search runs on TechSales' managed data source and reveals use TechSales credits, priced before you approve.
- Searching is free; you pay only for the contacts you reveal, and Do Not Contact is checked before a reveal is charged.
- Replies to Apollo sequences you already run are read every 15 minutes into the TechSales Inbox.
- TechSales does not create or push campaigns into Apollo; sending goes through Instantly, Smartlead or HeyReach.

Set it up
- In Apollo, create an API key under Settings, Integrations, API.
- In TechSales, open Settings, then Connections. In the Integrations card, paste the key into the Apollo field.
- TechSales tests the key against Apollo before saving it. A key the provider rejects is not stored; an accepted key is kept in an encrypted vault and never shown again.
- Choose how much history to import: from today onwards (recommended), the last 30 or 90 days, or from a date you pick.
From persona to list
- Describe the buyer, or let the assistant turn a persona into search filters with locations.
- See the match count and the credit cost before anything is spent.
- Approve, and only those contacts are revealed. People on Do Not Contact or already reached are skipped first.
- The list goes into Prepare list: clean-up, email verification and splits.

- Do I need an Apollo subscription?
- No. Without your own key, search runs on TechSales' managed data source and costs TechSales credits. With your key, it runs on your Apollo plan.
- Is TechSales an Apollo alternative?
