TechSales and Smartlead
If your team sends cold email with Smartlead, TechSales can set up campaigns there and bring replies into the same Inbox as your LinkedIn conversations. A workspace uses either Smartlead or Instantly for email.
In short
- Connect with your Smartlead API key, then add the webhook URL TechSales creates for your workspace to Smartlead's webhook settings.
- TechSales creates the campaign, attaches your mailboxes, sets the schedule, pushes the sequence and adds leads.
- Replies arrive in TechSales by webhook as they happen; you answer them from the TechSales Inbox.
- Do Not Contact entries and opt-outs go to Smartlead's block list every ten minutes.
- Mailbox daily limits and sending health are read from Instantly only, and the interleaved email plus LinkedIn runner supports Instantly, not Smartlead.

Set it up
- In Smartlead, copy your API key from Settings.
- In TechSales, open Settings, then Connections. In the Integrations card, paste the key into the Smartlead field.
- TechSales tests the key against Smartlead before saving it. A key the provider rejects is not stored; an accepted key is kept in an encrypted vault and never shown again.
- In the Smartlead card, choose Create webhook URL and paste that URL into Smartlead's webhook settings for reply events.

Smartlead or Instantly?
Both work as the email channel. Instantly is the more deeply integrated of the two today: TechSales also reads its mailbox limits and health, which the AI SDR and Sending health in Reports rely on, and only Instantly can be the email half of an interleaved email plus LinkedIn sequence. If you already run Smartlead and mainly want clean lists and one Inbox, it fits.

- Does TechSales read my Smartlead mailbox limits?
- No. Capacity and sending health come from Instantly and HeyReach; Smartlead workspaces do not get the AI SDR's capacity-based refills.
- Can I reply to Smartlead conversations from TechSales?
- Yes. Replies sent from the TechSales Inbox go out through Smartlead in the same thread.
- Why is a webhook needed?
- Smartlead replies are delivered to TechSales by webhook, so they appear as soon as they arrive.
